Ecotherapy Fundraiser for Times of Crisis
Please read the section below before watching the videos.
In March 2022, we at the Tariki Trust offered a day of support and compassion through ecotherapy and Buddhist practice. We recorded the four sessions that we hosted and we have made them available for public viewing below. If you would like to watch these videos and engage with the practises offered, we offer the videos in return for your kind donations to MSF (Médecins Sans Frontières or Doctors Without Borders) who are working in Ukraine and further around the world in situations of immediate need. No donation is too great or too small; please donate what you can below. Thank you so much for your kindness.
The conflict in Ukraine has brought war and suffering into the forefront of many Europeans worlds; news channels are filled with this crisis in such a visceral, immediate way it may feel that other conflicts, natural disasters, ecological crises and the pandemic have diminished in significance. We at Tariki recognise that this is not the case and that global events continue to impact many, many peoples, animals and biospheres in this world.
Holding the image of the Ukrainian colours as a symbol of global compassion, we hold both awareness of this specific war, and also wars in Syria, Yemen, Afghanistan, Burkina Faso and other places. With this compassion we hold the many sufferings in countless places in the world who are experiencing climate chaos, COVID-related grief, fuel poverty, water shortages and contamination of land, sea, air and water. With the colours of Ukraine as a symbol of peace, we open our hearts to suffering of all beings.
Paul Maiteny offers the talk, What is Rational? What is Mad?
Caroline Brazier offers the talk, Walking Peace.
Harriet Sams offers: Peace to the Quarters and Animal Wisdom.
