Jodo Shinshu UK

Jodo Shinshu is a Japanese Pure Land Buddhist tradition which follows the teachings of Pure Land Master Shinran Shonin. The tradition is well known in Japan, but has a smaller European following. Unfortunately, our website is still under construction, but if you would like to read more about our tradition you can find more on the English section of our sister organisation, Jinenko, in Spain. Jodo Shinshu UK offers regular online teachings in association with Tariki Trust with a friendly online sangha facilitated by Enrique Galvan-Alvarez and Caroline Brazier who are both ordained in the tradition. For more details of current meetings and/or to join the Jodo Shinshu UK mailing list, please email caroline@tarikitrust.org

Zen Tarot Sangha

Zen Tarot is a monthly online get-together where two streams of spiritual wisdom come together as one: Zen Buddhism and the Tarot. During these one-hour sessions, we will pull one card from a Zen/Buddhist-themed Tarot deck. We will discuss how this card’s teaching plays out in our lives and sit together in several ‘Zazen’-inspired meditations, reflecting on the card’s theme as well as offering us space to simply be with the breath and the body without grasping at our thoughts. You can join this group anytime by emailing stephen@tarikitrust.org. Donations are welcome but not expected (offered in the Dana economy). (The image used is from the Osho Zen Tarot.)
